Risks of pancreatitis after lap band?

A year ago my wife has gone through a lap band surgery. Since at that time she is having lots of gas problems, abdominal pain, and nausea and vomiting. Is it Pancreatitis? Just wanted to know is there any risk of Pancreatitis after the lap band surgery?

hateme 		As you are saying that she is having problems like abdominal pain and vomiting then yes these symptoms gives the indication of pancreatitis. Pancreatitis is actually a painful medical condition which occurs due to the inflammation in pancreas. However the possible causes of lap band pancreatitis are lap band gallstones developing and alcohol after lap band. After the lap band surgery there is rapid increase in the weight loss which leads to formation of gallstones in gallbladder. And because of the gallstones formation in gallbladder it leads to blockage in pancreatic duct. After this the digestive juices accumulates with pancreas and results in the inflammation of pancreas which is known as acute pancreatitis. T

his lap band pancreatitis leads to severe complications like bacterial infection, breathing problems, internal bleeding etc. About 40% of the lap band patients suffer from this risk of Pancreatitis after the lap band surgery. You must take your wife to the surgeon and give her proper treatment or nay pancreatitis medications as this very condition can be dangerous and might result in side effects also. But before giving any pancreatitis medications you must first consult the doctor.
