Experiencing lap band tightness before or during the periods?

I was banded few months ago and I am noticing lap band tightness before or during my periods. Earlier I thought that it could be because of any other reason but now I think it is related to surgery. Just wanted to know does this is lap band tightness and menstruating is normal? Anyone of you has experienced this?

hateme 		Well no have not experienced this lap band tightness but my frond has. She was also having this lap band tightness and menstruating problems. But all things went fine after few months. You also would be fine, as it is normal after the surgery. Lap band surgery do affects the menstruation periods. Many female patients experience this tightness before or during the periods. Well this very lap band tightness is due to water retention which is generally caused by changes in hormonal balance. However many females might experience lap band tightness week before their period calendar starts or other might not experience any tightness until the day their menstruation cycle starts. Intake of diuretics, or water pills might help in relieving water retention. But before taking any diuretics you must first consult your surgeon.

Many female patients might experience hunger and cravings after two or three days of tightness. This duration of tightness might vary from month to month. However at this time attempting to consuming solid foods when you are feeling tight might result in vomiting or productive burping. So, you must pay attention to all this things. On feeling tightness try consuming only liquids and soups. It will help you feel better.
